iPhone 13 Pro Max sets record in smartphone battery stress test, with almost ten hours of continuous use

The YouTube channel Mrwhosetheboss always runs strenuous battery tests when the new iPhones come out. Although they’re highly artificial tests, relative scores are still important. This year, however, all iPhone 13 models excelled.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max was the best performing phone in the test, with a duration of 9 hours and 52 mins. That’s ten hours of screen-on time while doing intensive work like playing games and watching YouTube videos …
Although the Pro Max steals the show when it comes to this battery life test, the other models in the iPhone 13 lineup performed just as admirably.
The 5.4–inch iPhone 13 mini battery achieved 6 hours and 26 minutes, surpassing the iPhone 12 by half an hour.
The 6.1–inch iPhone 13 lasted for 7 hours and 45 minutes in the same test, almost two hours more than the previous-generation comparable model.
The iPhone 13 Pro was able to last 8 hours 17 minutes and the iPhone 13 Pro Max took 9 hours 52 minutes. Despite having high-refresh rates displays enabled (meaning they can display content as fast as 120 times per second), the 13 Pro and Pro Max beat all other competitors.

This benchmark reflects the results claimed in Apple’s official statistics for the phones. Apple estimates that users will enjoy 1.5-2 hours additional battery life with daily usage. Three factors are responsible for the increase in life expectancy: efficiency of A15 chips, adaptive frame rate of ProMotion displays, and larger battery capacity.
