Today, the highly-anticipated series Foundation premieres on Apple TV+. The series is based off the genre-defining sci-fi novels by writer Isaac Asimov and features Jared Harris as ‘Hari Seldon’ fighting against the Galactic Empire, led by Lee Pace as ‘Brother Dusk’.
Foundation only available via Apple TV+ You can sign up to Apple TV+ here and get a free seven day trial if you’ve never used the service before. Apple TV+ can be purchased for $4.99 per month, or $49.99 annually. The Apple One bundle also includes it. One TV+ subscription is free for up to six users.
Foundation can be viewed on any Apple TV-compatible device. You can watch Foundation on any device that runs the Apple TV app, including iPhones and iPads. There is currently no Apple TV App for Android, but you might be able watch it through the web at www.tv.apple.com.
Apple TV+ subscribers get access to all Apple original content for no extra charge. You can view the complete catalog here. You can find the TV+ shows and movies in the ‘tv+ Originals’ tab inside the TV app.
Release date for Foundation episodes
The Foundation series is being released weekly, following a double-episode premiere today, September 24. Here’s when the full run of the first season will air. Apple has confirmed that Foundation will be renewed for additional seasons. However, no formal renewal was announced.
