Will Tokyo really die at the end of Season 5 of the Money Heist? When the first half of the Spanish Netflix show “Money Heist” premiered the fifth part of its final season, the final episode ended with a terrible note: Tokyo, played by Ursula Corbero, did not discover her plight from her Come out alive in. Find. She was shot and killed by an army sent by the police, and the last scene showed Gandia standing next to her, pointing a pistol to her head.

However, before he could shoot, Tokyo smiled at him. A close-up of the scene showed that Tokyo was holding a special thing in his hand: several grenades pins tied to his body. The scenes of this half and the final episode ended with a loud noise. Let’s assume that Tokyo is dead, and that she at least took Gandia, if not more people. But is Tokyo really dead?
Although the absolute final answer may take some time, the second half of this season will be broadcast in December. However, the answer is likely to be “Yes, Tokyo is really dead”. It depends on two things: the whole episode has memories of her past, how she found the professor and his life before the robbery, and what got her there.
This is more like the background story of Tokyo than we have seen in any episode. Perhaps this foreshadows what will happen at the end of the episode. Any movie lover will tell you that the second flashback starts playing, which means that something bad has happened to the character.
The second thing is that it means going against most of the logic, or preventing the audience from seeing what we missed: grenades are tied to Tokyo’s body; if they explode, she might explode too.
But Tokyo may be the “protagonist” and the only narrative point at the beginning of the series: his narrative, his character and how he views robbery. Will they kill the “main” protagonist of the show? The answer may still be yes. However, before Tokyo “died”, she told her teacher (Alvaro Mott) a word when he kept letting her jump off the elevator: “You have always been my guardian angel.” Tokyo said the last time. It was this sentence that, in the third season, when the professor thought Lisbon was dead.

In the scene, when everything seemed to fall apart, Raquel separated from the professor. He yelled at her and told them his location through the microphone. She refused. The teacher heard a gunshot, which meant Lisbon. already dead. He called Tokyo and she said, “Professor. You have always been my guardian angel. Now it’s my turn.” He told him how Lisbon died to protect him.
Then comes the moment where Tokyo realizes Lisbon may not be dead: they have no visual confirmation, and she explains that what she heard may not be the true development of events. She relates that her mother called her too, but that meant nothing because the cops hid in her kitchen. It was the Professor who stopped Tokyo from returning home, and thus “saved” her life. After talking to Tokyo, the professor realizes that Lisbon is alive.
When Tokyo dies in Season 5, he says the same thing again. Does it matter? We will have to wait until December for an absolute answer. According to Express UK, however, it may be definitive. They report that when the scene was filmed, Corbero was kneeling and crying in the kitchen where Tokyo had just died. “Let’s say goodbye to Ursula,” the director reportedly adds when applause broke out on the set of Netflix’s Series.
